“What’s in store”
for grown ups
We start off with the main Bible teaching, with Michael Cassidy
leading a teaching series throughout the week, including worship
and ministry.
We gather at the end of the day for the evening celebration, where
we’re joined by a different speaker each evening.
throughout the day
Interested in social justice, mission or spiritual growth? How
about relationships, leadership or ethics? Or maybe you are “just
looking” at the Christian faith. With lots of seminars
to choose from, led by some of the most experienced practitioners,
there’ll definitely be something for you.
for not-so grown ups
0-10s
Throughout the week, our top-quality children’s groups deliver
a combination worship, teaching, games, craft and general mayhem.
There’s a programme specifically tailored for every age group,
from the tiniest tots to the coolest pre-teens.
11-18s
You’ll never be bored with a jam-packed programme of celebrations,
workshops, games and mess. This year we are introducing an evening
celebration for 11-18 year olds with a great line up of speakers
and times of worship and ministry.
special needs
Because we believe the gospel is for everyone, we want everyone
to find a place where they can grow in faith and worship. We run
a programme each day for adults with learning disabilities which
includes worship, teaching, games and craft, run by Prospects.
for everyone
There’s a whole host of stuff going on including family fun
afternoons, football tournaments, and the opportunity to explore
Sligo town, the local beaches and the many other tourist attractions
in the area.
the hub
A great space filled with a fair-trade café and shop, exhibition stands from different mission and ministry organisations across
Ireland and beyond, a “shop” to buy the best books
and CDs available, sofas, games and friendly people.
And when the sun goes down there’s the ever popular “Sligo
nights” programme to keep you entertained.
What’s new
for 2010?
One of the major changes we are introducing this year is the conference
will run from Sunday evening(11th) until Friday evening(16th).
This means that there will five mornings of the bible teaching
and six evening celebrations.
This change also gives us the opportunity to have a “day
off” on Wednesday(14th) when we will run the first morning
session and evening celebration only.
Join the team
The conference depends on a lot of people being part of the volunteer
teams. Whether it is the youth and kids teams, stewarding or
other support teams we need people to volunteer. If you would
like to apply to be on one of the teams you can download a form
here.
